HONEST REVIEWS:

5.0 out of 5 stars Glad I Finally Purchased This Monster
Color: Stainless Steel Verified Purchase

“I researched this Breville food processor for weeks and for many weeks I attempted to convince myself I could live with something cheaper. In the end, I found this great seller who was offering the Breville for a little less than the $400 asking price and decided I couldn’t get anything else. I purchased it and have been in awe of it ever since it arrived. My Breville 16 Cup Monster arrived 3 days ago and yes It is a BOSS. I love this thing. It is a Monster a mighty Beast. Today I used it to make breakfast hash browns in the morning and made up a really nice pie crust for some Epic Apple Pie in the afternoon.

1. I love the way it fits together (feels real solid).
2. This thing seems to weigh as much as a small car.
3. You have to wash it by hand every time you use it because the Breville is not dishwasher safe. In fact, it has no respect for your dishwasher.
4. It comes with a handy storage box for all its accessories.
5. I have lots of stuff in the kitchen that requires special treatment and care (ie. cast iron cookware, Staud Cocottes, wood cutting boars, etc.) so having one more thing I have to clean a certain way is no big deal for me.

I believe the best times are spent in the kitchen creating tasty homemade dishes. This EPIC Food Processor is just one more tool in helping to facilitate my hobby. Oh Yeah, and it makes my Full-Size stand mixer look like a tiny can opener (by comparison).” May 14, 2017, by KarpeTech

5.0 out of 5 stars Beyond thrilled

“I have had this Breville food processor for about a week now and I am over the moon with how amazing this thing is. I originally had a great food processor, a Kitchenaid that was about 8 years old. I gave it to a friend when I purchased a new Cuisinart food processor with a spiralizer…it turned out to be a piece of garbage that had really cheap parts so it was back to looking for another food processor. My research showed that a lot of the food processors today are made much lighter weight and are made out of less sturdy material. I was not happy with that as they break easily and can sometimes slide around if they’re off balance. I was hesitant to spend this much money on a food processor, especially with the varied ratings on Amazon and a few other sites.

The good:

  • Right out of the package, you could tell the device was solid. It was heavy, sturdy, and even the plastic bowl was higher quality than the previous ones I had purchased.
  • I am in love with the slicing disc – you can see the difference in thickness of slices. It’s great! I can slice incredibly thin or really thick, which is amazing for various dishes and dehydrating! The slices are consistently the same size, no leftover piece thumping around in thereafter it has sliced the majority of the veggie or fruit. My previous food processors would leave a chunk of food that it would not slice or grate.
  • The sound. This thing is insanely quiet. I did not think there was such a thing as a quiet food processor but this is it. I was not looking for this feature but it’s nice. It DOES make noise, just much quieter than the others I’ve had. I can continue to listen to the audiobook or carry a conversation without yelling while using the machine.
  • It’s fast. I mean, really fast. Not that all food processors are not efficient but this will slice through the food much quicker than the previous ones I’ve had.
  • I like the timer. If I need to blend, whisk, or kneed something for a certain amount of time, I can set it. It also tells you how long you’ve been blending.
  • I like having the option of a large or small bowl but this is not a unique feature to this machine. They do create a leak-proof environment so if you want to make something liquid in the top and then move on to chopping something solid in the bottom, you can do that without any issues. The bowls are pretty sturdy
  • I have not seen gaps that trap food or water that lead to mold/mildew growing. I will update if I find any.
  • The parts to the chute stay in place without any weird twisting to get parts to lock. I love this as my last one was hard to lock the parts together and the small chute would always fall out and thus broke. The small chute can serve as a small measuring cup as well!
  • I really like the storage for the blades. My first one did not have this and it was always tricky to find a place to store them that would be safe and not result in finely sliced fingertips.
  • The variety of discs is also quite nice. The fry blade does thin strips of fries. I have used both of the s blades and they work wonderfully. I have not used the other blades/discs as of yet.
  • There is a brush included to make clean up easy as the device is not dishwasher friendly.

The Cons:

Size – this is a large device and would not have worked in past apartments where size is a constraint. Be sure to measure before buying! I’m glad I now have a place large enough to store the food processor and attachment box.
I would say the price but I have a feeling long term, this device will pay for itself. I did worry about the price and justifying the cost. However, we use the food processor all the time, hoping this will hold up to years of use.
Washing – not recommended to put in the dishwasher. This isn’t a huge problem, I just hate washing dishes by hand when you have a dishwasher available. However, it’s very easy to clean and there is a brush included.
There are no other cons as of right now.

Other thoughts:
I might have to buy the dicing add on as this food processor is amazing to use and would love more control over diced veggies.” January 14, 2019. By Toni

“Where have you been all my life??? I have had other brands of food processors, so I did some research, for it was time to switch. This was always rated as top of the line, and many reviews said that most cooks don’t need to spend the money on this, buy the next one down…

Well, if you like to cook, BUY THIS. it is worth twice what I spent on it. It has good solid parts, metal where it is needed. Strong shafts. It shreds parmagane as if it were butter. It does a beautiful job of thin-slicing vegetables, very thin if that is what one wants. Let me tell you, I am in love” August 29, 2018. By Lorraine
